Load view operations in Transportation Smartbench

This section lists the load view operations in alphabetical order with a brief description.

You can access entity view operations in any of the following ways:

Select an operation from the operation toolbar
Right-click over the entity grid’s row selection check box
Note: This method requires there be at least one row in the entity grid.

Note: Administrators configure which operations are available and the order in which they are displayed based on your role. Only authorized operations are displayed in your operations toolbar.

The Transportation Smartbench (TSB) performs basic validations when an operation is initiated. Front-end validations include testing whether an operation requires row selection or supports multi-row selection, halting an operation when the user is not authorized to the plan(s) referenced in the selection, or testing the entire selection is for the same plan when applicable. Front-end validation errors display in the form of a dialog box. If a validation message box is displayed, the entire operation is halted and you must take appropriate corrective action before re-initiating the operation. When configured, the TSB displays a confirmation dialog box giving you a last chance to cancel the action before it is passed to the back-end API for execution. A few operations may require you to select an appropriate reason code to proceed with the operation. See “Event reason codes” for more information.

Comprehensive validations are performed by back-end APIs servicing most TSB operations. The results of operations are summarized in a single message and displayed on the title bar of the Results View. The TSB makes a best effort approach on operations supporting multi-row selection. As a result, some objects in the selection may succeed while others may fail. The summary message in the Results View summarizes the status of the whole operation. The outcome of the operation on individual objects in the selection can be viewed by clicking the message text. This will open the TSB session log to show messages for each object-operation performed since the start of the TSB session.

Attach to Current Plan	Yes	Yes	Updates the Plan ID of the selected loads to the Plan ID that is set as your Current Plan. Pre-validation requires your profile designates a Current Plan.
Attach to Plan	Yes	No	Adds or changes the Plan ID of the selected loads. Select Plan dialog box is displayed and you can enter an authorized Plan ID. Alternatively, Click the picker support icon to select a Plan ID from the list of plans. Selected loads that pass back-end validations are updated to the new Plan ID. Notes: If Restrict Access to Target Plan is not selected in the Global Settings > Controls > System tab, the user is allowed to attach a load (or shipment leg) to a plan even if they are not authorized to the target plan. If a load or shipment leg is currently attached to a plan, then user must be authorized to the source plan in order to be allowed to remove it from the plan or assign to a different plan.

Generate 2D PDF File	No	No	Generates a 2D PDF file of the Load Configurator Space and Load Configurator Container information associated with the selected load. The PDF file may contain side view or top view based on the orientations defined on shipment details. If cylinders are loaded by roll load, side view is generated. If cylinders are loaded by stack loading, top view is generated. See Create Shipment Detail (Carrier/Customer).
Generate 2D File (Flipped)	No	No	Generates a 2D PDF file of the Load Configurator Space and Load Configurator Container information associated with the selected load. Results are similar to Generate 2D PDF File except contents are re-oriented to suggest an alternate method of loading the equipment type.
Generate WRL file	No	No	Generates a WRL file for each of the selected loads to support the capability to view load configurator results. When WRL files are generated multiple times on the same load, multiple files exist and the subsequent generated WRL file does not override the file generated earlier. IMPORTANT: WRL files are generated based on Cortona 3D viewer format.
Item Loading	No	No	Displays item loading information of the selected load. See Load Item Loading for Entity in Transportation Smartbench.
Load Configurator Axles	No	No	Displays the read-only list of load configurator axles resulted from LC rating or optimization. The list will be empty if the load equipment type has no axle orientation(s) specified.
Load Configurator Containers	No	No	Displays the container information of the selected load. See Load Configurator Containers in Transportation Smartbench.
Load Tender	Yes	Yes	Tenders the selected loads that are in Planned operational status.
Manage Domicile Resources	No	No	Allows you to maintain vehicle related information for the selected load. See Manage Domicile Resource (Carrier/Employee).
Map	Yes	No	Displays the Map view dialog box for the load selection. Pre-validation requires the load has stops. Note: This operation will only be available if the map license is detected (and the operation is active/enabled).

Override Trailer Equipment Type	Yes	No	Allows you to override the Trailer Equipment Type value directly from the results grid. Note: If this operation is enabled, user will be allowed to modify Trailer Equipment Type for a load that is in Tender Accepted operational status even if the Trailer Equipment Type for the load is hard committed based on requirements inherited from one or more of the attached shipment legs.
Properties	No	No	Displays the Load properties of the selected load.
Rate	Yes	Yes	Performs a load rating request for each item in the selection. Loads must have stops. If a load is attached to a booking, then the booking is rated. If a load is attached to a trip, then the trip is rated. If the Rate operation is successful, totals can be viewed by exposing the applicable columns on the load list. Recomputed charge details can be viewed from Load properties.
Rate Shop	No	No	Displays the Rate Shop for Load page when the load is not attached to a trip/booking. See Rate Shop for Load - Transportation Smartbench. Operation will be allowed only when the load (or related trip or booking) is currently eligible to be rated.

Note: * Execute across pages is a feature that allows you to run an operation on all rows in the current search result. In order to use this feature, you must first execute the Show Total Count grid header operation and not select any grid rows. As a performance consideration, the application imposes a limit on the number of rows supported. The limit applies to all users and can be adjusted by an application administrator if necessary. When the operation is complete, the search used to populate the grid is re-executed and depending on the applicable search criteria (and operation executed), objects appearing in the original search result may no longer appear.
