TM maintains costs at the load (or load/stop) level and then pro-rates these costs to the individual shipment legs on an "as needed" basis. The results of the pro-ration are not persisted, at least not directly. While pro-rated costs are not explicitly preserved for a load, when the results of pro-ration are used as a basis for G/L Transaction Generation for A/P, the resulting G/L Transactions for the load will reflect the results of the load pro-ration process. Similarly, when the results of load pro-ration are used as the basis for invoicing a Carrier Surcharge Based Customer, the results of the pro-ration process will be persisted in the resulting A/R Voucher. This differs from the Trip Pro-ration process where pro-rated trip level charges are persisted at load level.
