Shipment Leg view operations in Transportation Smartbench

This section lists the shipment leg view operations in alphabetical order with a brief description.

You can access entity view operations in any of the following ways:

Select an operation from the operation toolbar
Right-click over the entity grid’s row selection check box
Note: This method requires there be at least one row in the entity grid.

Note: Administrators configure which operations are available and the order in which they are displayed based on your role. Only authorized operations are displayed in your operations toolbar.

The Transportation Smartbench (TSB) performs basic validations when an operation is initiated. Front-end validations include testing whether or not an operation requires row selection or supports multi-row selection, halting an operation when the user is not authorized to the plan(s) referenced in the selection, or testing the entire selection is for the same plan when applicable. Front-end validation errors display in the form of a dialog box. If a validation message box is displayed, the entire operation is halted and you must take appropriate corrective action before re-initiating the operation. When configured, for operations that remove or delete business objects, the TSB displays a confirmation dialog box giving you a last chance to cancel the action before it is passed to the back-end API for execution. A few operations may require you to select an appropriate reason code to proceed with the operation. See “Event reason codes” for more information.

Comprehensive validations are performed by back-end APIs servicing most TSB operations. The results of operations are summarized in a single message and displayed on the title bar of the Results View. The TSB makes a best effort approach on operations supporting multi-row selection. As a result, some objects in the selection may succeed while others may fail. The summary message in the Results View summarizes the status of the whole operation. The outcome of the operation on individual objects in the selection can be viewed by clicking the message text. This displays the TSB session log to show messages for each object-operation performed since the start of the TSB session.

If there is no shipment split ID for a selected shipment leg, no related shipments will be presented for that shipment leg. For more information, see Split shipment in Transportation Smartbench.
All Related Split Shipment Legs	Yes	No	Opens a Shipment Leg view listing associated shipment legs having the same shipment split ID as selected shipment legs. Assign to New Load	Yes	Yes	Creates one new load and attaches all shipment legs in the selection to it. All shipment legs must be assigned to the same plan. The new load will be attached to the common plan.
Assign to New Loads	Yes	Yes	Creates one new load for each shipment leg in the selection. New loads will be attached to common plan for the selected shipment legs.
Assign to Open Load	Yes	No	Attaches a shipment leg selection made in one Shipment Leg view to an existing load (that is in Open status) displayed in a separate Load view. For more information, see "Assign shipment legs to a load". Note: To perform this operation, you must drag and drop a shipment leg onto a target load. See "Drag and drop to move shipment leg in Transportation Smartbench".
Assign to Planned Load	Yes	No	Attaches a shipment leg selection made in one shipment leg view to an existing load (that is in Planned, Tendered, Tender Accepted, Tender Rejected, Confirming, Picked Up, or In Transit operational status) displayed in a separate Load view. For more information, see "Assign shipment legs to a load". Notes: To perform this operation, you must drag and drop a shipment leg onto a target load. See "Drag and drop to move shipment leg in Transportation Smartbench". If load is in Picked Up or In Transit status, a shipment can only be assigned to the load if there is an unconfirmed pickup stop on the load where the location and address information is equal to the pickup information for the shipment leg.
Assign Partial Shipment to Existing Load	No	No	Attaches a portion of the selected shipment leg to an eligible existing load. The new split shipment amount is assigned to the target load and the remaining amount is updated to the original shipment’s associated loads, stops and legs as needed. Attach to Current Plan	Yes	Yes	Updates the selection to the Plan ID marked as your current Plan. Pre-validation requires that your profile designates a current plan.
Attach to Plan	Yes	No	Add or change the Plan ID on a shipment leg selection. Displays the Select Plan dialog box and you can enter an authorized Plan ID. Alternatively, click picker support icon to select a Plan ID from the user’s list of authorized plans. Selected rows that pass back-end validations are updated to the new Plan ID. Notes: If Restrict Access to Target Plan is not selected in the Global Settings > Controls > System tab, the user is allowed to attach a shipment leg (or load) to a plan even if they are not authorized to the target plan. If a load or shipment leg is currently attached to a plan, then user must be authorized to the source plan in order to be allowed to remove it from the plan or assign to a different plan. In this case, Global Setting is not considered.
Booking Revisions	Yes	No	Opens a Booking Revision view listing booking revisions associated with all bookings for selected shipment legs.

Remove Booking MITCC	Yes	Yes	Removes the booking MITCC from the selected shipment legs and from all other shipment legs for the applicable shipments. See "Remove the booking merge-in-transit consolidation class for a shipment or load (Employee)".
Remove from Open Load	Yes	Yes	Removes selected shipment legs from associated loads that are in Open status.

Note: * Execute across pages is a feature that allows you to run an operation on all rows in the current search result. In order to use this feature, you must first execute the Show Total Count grid header operation and not select any grid rows. As a performance consideration, the application imposes a limit on the number of rows supported. The limit applies to all users and can be adjusted by an application administrator if necessary. When the operation is complete, the search used to populate the grid is re-executed and depending on the applicable search criteria (and operation executed), objects appearing in the original search result may no longer appear.
