Optimization request view operations in Transportation Smartbench

This section lists optimization request operations in an alphabetical order with a description.

You can access entity view operations in any of the following ways:

Select an operation from the operation toolbar
Right-click over the entity grid’s row selection check box
Note: This method requires there be at least one row in the entity grid.

Note: Administrators configure which operations are available and the order in which they are displayed based on your role. Only authorized operations are displayed in your operations toolbar.

The Transportation Smartbench (TSB) performs basic validations when an operation is initiated. Front-end validations include the following:

To test whether an operation requires row selection or supports multi-row selection
To halt an operation when the user is not authorized to the plan(s) referenced in the selection
To test the entire selection for the same plan when applicable.

Front-end validation errors display in the form of a dialog box. If a validation message is displayed, the entire operation is halted and you must take appropriate corrective action before re-initiating the operation.

When configured, the TSB displays a confirmation dialog box allowing you to cancel the action before it is passed to the back-end API for execution. Comprehensive validations are performed by back-end APIs servicing most TSB operations. The results of operations are summarized in a single message and displayed on the title bar of the Results View. As a result, some objects in the selection may succeed while others may fail. The message in the Results View summarizes the status of the whole operation. The outcome of the operation on individual objects in the selection can be viewed by clicking the message. This opens the TSB session log to show messages for each object-operation performed since the start of the TSB session.

Delete	Yes	Deletes an optimization request. Only available when status is Canceled. See Delete an optimization request (Employee).
Full Report	No	Displays the Optimization Report for Request page for the selected request.
Hold	Yes	Sets the status of an optimization request to Hold. Only available when status is Wait. See Hold an optimization request.
Loads	No	Displays the loads processed by the optimization request in the TM Web UI. See Display the list of loads processed by the optimization request.
Metric Chart	Yes	Displays the Select Optimization Metrics for Requests page for the selected requests.
New	Not applicable	Displays the Create Optimization Request page. Pre-validation requires that you have a current plan. See Create Optimization Request - Transportation Smartbench.
Release	Yes	Releases a held optimization request and sets its status to Wait. See Release an optimization request (Employee).
Reset	Not applicable	Reverts all unsaved row-level changes to their original values.
Shipments	No	Displays the shipments processed by the optimization request in the TM Web UI. See Display the list of shipments processed by the optimization request.
Submit	Not applicable	Posts all row-level changes to the database.
Trips	No	Displays the trips processed by the optimization request in the TM Web user interface.
