List of User Groups (Employee)

User groups are a means of categorizing users for security purposes. Security rights assigned to a user group are automatically given to the users belonging to that group. Examples of user groups are:

• System Administrators
• Logistics Planners
• Shipment Entry Personnel
• Freight Audit Staff
• Employees for one of your carriers
• Employees for one of your customers

The following actions are supported for each user group:

• Override access to modules and functions within Transportation Manager by accessing the Navigation Pad controls.
• Modify the default presentation of operations on selected lists.
• Explicitly authorize users in the user group to work only with transactions referencing specific shipping locations.

List

The List of User Groups displays the User Groups based on current search criteria. By default, the list is sorted in ascending order by User Group ID.
