User Group ID: The ID for the user group. It is user-assigned, mandatory and cannot be modified after a user group has been created.
Description: User maintainable description. It is mandatory. It can be modified in Update mode.
General Attributes
Group Type: Refers to the User Group Type Domain table. Supported values are: Customer, Carrier, Employee. It is mandatory and cannot be modified after user group has been created.
Entity ID: Must refer to a Customer ID when user group type is Customer; must refer to a Carrier ID when user group type is Carrier; no value can be specified when user group type is Employee. Entity ID cannot be edited in Update mode.
Entity Name: Customer Name corresponding to the Customer ID assigned as Entity ID when user group type is Customer; Carrier Name corresponding to the Carrier ID assigned as Entity ID when user group type is Carrier. Not applicable when user group type is Employee. Entity Name is never editable from this screen.
Shipping Location Restrictions: Indicates whether Authorized Locations have been configured for this user group. Flag is never editable from this screen.
Allow Users to View Untendered Loads: Specifies if the users in this group are allowed to view loads (or shipment legs on loads) in the Open, Planned, and Tender Rejected operational status. If True, for loads in Open status, the Load Composition Approved flag must be True. Carrier users can access their loads and related entities if the load operational status is Tendered, Tender Accepted, Confirming, Picked Up, In Transit, Completed, or Closed. It can be modified in update mode only for the Carrier user group type.
Division: The division for the user group. It is optional for users that are not restricted to a specific division. It can be modified in Update mode if the Enforce Division and Logistics Group Relationships flag in the Global Settings is False. If a division is not specified and the Eligible for Division Restricted User flag is True, user group can be associated with user profiles in all divisions.
Allow Change Shipment Horizon From Rate Shop: Determines if users in a user group can modify shipment horizons from the Smartbench rate shop pages. It can be modified in update mode. The following values are supported:
Not Authorized: User cannot modify Shipment horizons or override horizons.
Update Override Horizons Only: User can modify override horizons without impacting shipment horizons.
Update Both Shipment and Override Horizons: User can modify override horizons and shipment horizons.
Note: This attribute is applicable for employee user groups.
Eligible for Division Restricted Users: Meaningful only for user groups where Division has not been defined. If flag is checked, user group will be eligible for selection when assigning a user group to a Division Restricted user profile. Flag can be modified after a user group has been created.
Dock Scheduling Controls
Note: When creating a user group, defaults will be established for the Dock Scheduling Controls based on corresponding fields in the Global Settings. All fields in this section are editable in Update mode.
Eligible to Maintain Dock Commitment with Violations: When False, users in the user group cannot create/update/delete dock commitments that currently have any type of violation, nor will they be able to create or modify a dock commitment that would result in a new violation scenario.
Dock Commitment Date/Time Access: The value defined at user group level will control whether users in the user group are allowed to edit the start date, end date and end time for a dock commitment. Possible values are: All (Start Date/Time, Duration and End Date/Time), Start Date/Time Only, Start Time Only. For unassociated dock commitments, users will be able the edit start date even if they are restricted from editing start date for associated dock commitments.
Eligible to Maintain Unassociated Dock Commitments: When False, users in the user group cannot create/update/delete unassociated dock commitments (not associated with a specific load/stop). This control can be used to permit users to work with associated dock commitments while preventing them from maintaining unassociated dock commitments even if carrier, division or logistics group restrictions are not violated.
Enforce Minimum Lead Time for Editing Dock Commitments: When True, users in the user group cannot modify dock commitments where the start date/time is less than xxx hours in the future, where xxx refers to the Minimum Lead Time for Editing Dock Commitments for the applicable dock.
Enforce Cut off Time for Next Business Day for Dock Commitments: When True, if a value is defined for Cut Off Time for Next Business Day for Editing Dock Commitments for the applicable dock, users in this user group cannot modify dock commitments if the date portion of the start date/time for the dock commitment is equal to the date for the next business day for the dock and the current time (adjusted to the time zone context for the dock's location) is greater than the cutoff time for the dock.
Enforce Maximum Days Dock Commitment Start Date Change: When true, users in this user group will not be able to create/update/delete dock commitments if the either of the following statements is true or would be true if the transaction were allowed to proceed:
The Start Date is more than xxx days later than the default Start Sate, where xxx refers to the Maximum Number of Days (Later) for the dock.
The Start Date is more than yyy days earlier than the default Start Date, where yyy refers to the Maximum Number of Days (Earlier) defined for the dock.
Enforce Live/Non-Live Violations: When true, users in this user group will not be able to create/update/delete dock commitments if the Live/Non-Live Violation Condition is currently applicable or would be applicable if the transaction were allowed to proceed.
Enforce Dock Selection Constraint Violations: When true, users in this user group will not be able to create/update/delete dock commitments if the Dock Commitment Constraint Violation condition is currently applicable or would be applicable if the transaction were allowed to proceed.
Maintain Itinerary Timetable Entry Tolerance
Tolerance Early: This controls data selection for the page which presents Itinerary Timetable Entries that could potentially be impacted by a booking revision. Timetable entries will be presented if the current start date for the fixed date timetable entry is not earlier than the proposed date by more than the number of days specified by this attribute. It can be edited in Update mode.
Tolerance Late: This controls data selection for the page which presents Itinerary Timetable Entries that could potentially be impacted by a booking revision. Timetable entries will be presented if the current start date for the fixed date itinerary is not later than the proposed date by more than the number of days specified by this attribute. It can be edited in Update mode.
Driver Assignment
Eligible to Maintain Driver Assignment with Violations: Specifies whether users in this user group can create/update/delete driver assignment if any of the driver soft restriction is currently applicable or would be applicable if the transaction were allowed to proceed. When a new user group is created, default is acquired from Global Settings.
Optimizer Overrides
Note: Number fields in this section apply only when the corresponding override check box is set. When set, the corresponding number value defaults to the current maximum defined in the Global Settings (and may be changed here to another value). When the check box is deselected, the numeric value reverts to read-only, resets to zero, and the value defined in global settings will apply to optimization requests submitted by users in this user group. A combination of global and user group level maximums may be specified.
Eligible Loads Override is Active: Indicates if you can alter the Maximum Number of Eligible Loads at the user group level.
Maximum Number of Eligible Loads: Specifies the maximum number of eligible loads allowed for a single optimization request; an optimization request flagged to include eligible loads will fail if the number of qualifying loads exceeds this value. Loads attached to trips and bookings are not counted against this maximum.
Eligible Trips Override is Active: Indicates if you can alter the Maximum Number of Eligible Trips at the user group level.
Maximum Number of Eligible Trips: Specifies the maximum number of eligible trips allowed for a single optimization request; an optimization request flagged to include eligible trips will fail if the number of qualifying trips exceeds this value.
Eligible Bookings Override is Active: Indicates if you can alter the Maximum Number of Eligible Bookings at the user group level.
Maximum Number of Eligible Bookings: Specifies the maximum number of eligible bookings allowed for a single optimization request; an optimization request flagged to include eligible bookings will fail if the number of qualifying bookings exceeds this value.
