Logistics managers can use location throughput groups to control the amount of freight that moves through a dock or shipping location on a daily or hourly basis. Each shipping location and dock could potentially be associated with multiple location throughput groups. If a location or dock does not refer to any location throughput groups, there will be no matching of resource capacity to resource requirements for activity that occurs at the shipping location or dock.
Separate location throughput groups could be used to manage the total capacity for inbound docks separately from outbound docks.
The list can be accessed from the List of Shipping Locations, the List of Docks, the List of Location Docks, and directly from the navigation pad. When accessed from the List of Shipping Locations, the list will only include location throughput groups for the applicable shipping location. When accessed directly from the navigation pad, all configured location throughput groups for all shipping locations can be listed.
List
The List of Location Throughput Groups displays the Location Throughput groups based on current search criteria. By default, the list is sorted in ascending order by Shipping Location ID and Location Throughput Group ID.

Note: By default, the list displays only the active Location Throughput Groups.
Properties
Location Throughput Group property page allows you to maintain data for the Location Throughput Group.
Note: You can Deactivate an active Location Throughput Group or Activate an inactive Location Throughput Group.

Additional Operations
Note: The Associate and Disassociate operations can only be triggered when the List of Location Throughput Groups has been accessed for a dock. These operations are not accessible when the List of Location Throughput Groups is accessed for a shipping location or directly from the navigation pad.
