Location
This section provides details about the shipping location. For more information, see Shipping Location fields.
Location Throughput Group
Location Throughput Group ID: The user-defined identifier for the location throughput group. This must be unique for each shipping location.
Description: The description for the location throughput group.
Active: Indicates whether the location throughput group is currently active. Inactive location throughput groups will not constrain optimization. By default, inactive location throughput groups will not appear on lists or grids.
Details
Location Throughput Group Unit Type: The unit type that is used to track demand vs. capacity for the location throughput group: loads, weight, volume, pieces, pallets, and loading/unloading duration.
Unit of Measure: An optional unit of measure for the location throughput group. In cases where the unit divide factor is used to adjust the unit type that is used to compare demand with capacity, this value can be used to illustrate the conversion that will be used. For example, if capacity is expressed in hundredweight, the UOM might be "CWT". This field refers to the user-assignable Location Throughput Group Unit of Measure domain table. Since Unit of Measure appears on various Location Throughput Group pages, you may want to refer to the applicable system-defined Unit of Measure for the applicable unit type even when the unit divide factor is 1. For example:
If Unit Type is Weight, specify the System Weight Unit of Measure.
If Unit Type is Volume, specify the System Volume Unit of Measure.
If Unit Type is Loading/Unloading Duration, specify Minutes.
You will need to first establish any desired value in the domain table.
Unit Divide Factor: The unit divide factor. The value associated with the location throughput group unit type will be divided by this value prior to being mapped against defined capacity.
Location Throughput Group Level: Indicates whether tracking of demand vs. capacity will be managed at shipping location or dock level for the location throughput group.
Location Throughput Group Type: An optional user-assignable category for the location throughput group.
Default Penalty Amount when Target Violated: Default penalty amount will be used when defining capacity for the location throughput group. This amount is expressed in the System Currency. This amount is expressed in the System Currency.
Activity Type: The activity type: inbound only, outbound only, both inbound and outbound.
Location Throughput Group Capacity Interval: Indicates whether capacity for the location throughput group will be available per hour or per day. For example, if the capacity interval is six loads and interval is hourly, the defined capacity will be available for each hour between the start time and end time for each date within the date range or on each occurrence of the day of the week within the date range.
Date Based Capacity Required: Indicates whether capacity that is defined for a day of the week will be formally recognized as capacity during optimization. If selected, optimizer will only recognize date specific capacity that does not refer to a day of the week and the capacity that refers to a Day of Week will be used only to establish default values.
Enforce Full Page Date/Time Constraints: Indicates whether capacity for this location throughput group can be maintained using the screens that will allow users to concurrently manage capacity for multiple groups for a location. When true, additional validation will be performed for date and time values when defining capacity to ensure that capacity can be properly represented on these Location Capacity Maintenance pages – Day of Week Capacities (Employee) and Specific Date Capacities (Employee).
Activity Inclusion: Indicates whether carrier live activities, carrier non-live activities, internal pre-loading and post-discharge activities, or various combinations of these activities should be accounted for.
