List of Alert Watch Groups (Employee) – Monitoring Module

Alert Watch Groups can be used to configure automatic distribution of emails to concerned users. When there is a change in alert status or severity, an email message is sent to each of the recipients associated with any of the applicable Alert Watch Groups.

In addition, a user can elect to send an ad-hoc message to the recipients associated with the Alert Watch Groups corresponding to the alert.

The characteristics of the Alert are compared with the configuration for all Alert Watch Groups. When a match is established:

A message is not sent to the same email address more than once for any specific event. Potentially, the same email address could be identified via a number of different sources (for example, both customer and shipping location). Also, a single Alert could satisfy the criteria for a number of different Alert Watch Groups.

The emails generated automatically use the same print formats used when messages are triggered manually using the Send (EMail) button from the Alert Dashboard. However, the User Comments section is blank for emails auto-generated based on Alert activity.

List

By default, the List of Alert Watch Groups is sorted in ascending order by Alert Watch Group ID.

Properties

The Alert Watch Group properties consists of one property page.

Alert Watch Group ID and Description can be used for identification purposes.

Each Alert Watch Group must refer to at least one of the following values:

When there is a change in alert status or severity, the characteristics of the listed alert are used to identify applicable Alert Watch Groups.

Sometimes, there is no Carrier, Customer, or Shipping Location associated with an Alert. For example:

If an Alert Watch Group refers to a Carrier, Customer, or Shipping Location and that data element is null for an Alert, the Alert Watch Group is not used for that Alert. An Alert Watch Group that refers to both a Shipping Location and a load level Alert Type are redundant, because there is no possibility that it will ever be used.

Note: The behavior for the properties for Tolerance Levels differs significantly from the properties for Alert Watch Groups:
