A Freight Class Cross Reference may only be set up for a tariff charge that corresponds to a Master Charge enabled for Multi Freight Class handling.
This allows you to identify any freight class for this tariff charge that must be rated by referring to the rates set up for a different freight class.
Nesting of Freight Class Cross Reference relationships is not supported.
Freight class for a Tariff / Service / Charge combination can be configured to use rates for another freight class while at the same time allowing freight for a third freight class to use its rates. For example, using the configuration in the table below, Freight Class 100 will be rated using rates for Freight Class 77.5 and Freight Class 77.5 will be rated using rates for Freight Class 50.
