Note: With the exception of User ID, all input capable fields on this tab are editable in Update mode.
User
User ID: The user-definable ID for the user. It is mandatory. Unlike most identifiers, lowercase characters are allowed for User ID. This is not editable after the user profile has been created.
Name: The name for the user. It is mandatory. The user's name will appear at the top of each screen that the user accesses.
User Group ID: The User Group for the user. User Group controls access to navigation pad links and operations on web pages. User cannot be a member of a system-reserved User Group (where User Group Code ends in underscore). It is mandatory.
Description: The description for the User Group. Always read only.
Status: Possible values are Active, Inactive and Reserved. Status is controlled using explicit operations from the List of User Profiles.
Contact Information
Contact information for the user profile is optional. Contact information consists of the following individual fields: primary phone number, secondary phone number, fax number, email address, URL. The email address will be used by various modules (for example, event notification, monitoring, tendering, approval chain).
The Language field displays the user's primary language. It is mandatory.
Logistics Grouping
Division: The Division for the user. It is mandatory. It will default to the current user's Division. It can be modified by a user that is not restricted to a Division. If the user profile is restricted to a single Division, this will be that user's authorized Division, else this will be the default Division for the user.
Restricted to Division: Indicates whether the user will be restricted to the designated Division. If current user is restricted to a Division, this will be True and will not be editable.
Logistics Group: The Logistics Group for the user. It is mandatory. It will default to the current user's Logistics Group. It can be modified by a user that is not restricted to a Logistics Group. If the user profile is restricted to a single Logistics Group, this will be that user's authorized Logistics Group, else this will be the default Logistics Group for the user.
Restricted to Logistics Group: Indicates whether the user will be restricted to the designated Logistics Group. If current user is restricted to a Logistics Group, this will be True and will not be editable.
Password Change Exempt: Indicates whether the user profile is exempt from password expiration functionality. In environments where password expiration is enforced, it is likely that user profiles used by integration might need to be exempt. Password Change Exempt is controlled using explicit operations from the List of User Profiles.
Authorized to Freight Audit: This controls the level of authorization that the user has to the operations in the Financials module, if any. It is mandatory. See "User Authorization – Financials".
G/L Voucher Reversal: This controls the authority given to the user to reverse A/P Vouchers that have accrual entries in G/L transactions. A/P Vouchers could also be reversed in response to the Divert in Transit operation.
Allow Invalid Address Creation: Indicates whether the user is allowed to create invalid addresses. See "Address validation".
Address Check: This will control the sequence in which address data is evaluated and defaulted. If Allow Invalid Address Creation is not checked, one of the three "Validation" values must be selected.
User Locale: System locale for the user profile. It is used to determine the language in which text, error messages, and descriptions are displayed to the user. It is also used to control formatting of numeric values and first day of week. When a new user is created, the default is established based on the row with the Is Default flag as true in the List of User Locales (Employee). There will be exactly one such row. Editable in the update mode.
Monetary Information Control: This will control whether the user is authorized to view monetary amounts for bookings, trips, loads, stops, shipment legs and shipment leg containers. The following values can be selected:
All Monetary Values: User can view all Monetary Amounts.
No Monetary Values: User cannot view any Monetary Amounts.
No Rating Values: User can view Order Value and Declared Value but not Rating Amounts.
Restricted Capability for Advanced Search: Indicates whether user has restricted capability for Transportation Manager Web user interface and Transportation Smartbench advanced search using wildcard characters. When selected, the user must type a minimum number of characters into an advanced search criteria character fields ahead of a wildcard character. Failure to type at least the minimum number of characters ahead of the wildcard will result in an error message to the user. By default, the minimum number of characters is set to four and can be adjustable by the site administrator.
No Updates Permitted: User associated with this User ID is not allowed to edit any fields in his profile.
Basic: Allow user to edit the following data in his own profile:
Contact Information
Settings - Display Date/Time Format, Always Display Page Title, Display Internal Page Name
Defaults – Shipment Version, Country, Commodity, Freight Class
Full: Allow user to edit everything in his own profile listed for Basic access, plus:
Name
User Locale
Division (only if not Restricted)
Logistics Group (only if not Restricted)
User Locale
Units of Measure and Exchange [Note: This section is only available for Employees.]

UI Features
Allow List/Chart Customization: This flag will conditionally control whether user will be allowed to perform list customization from any list in the Web UI where List Customization functionality is available. It will also conditionally control whether the user can access Chart Customization, where applicable. This flag will control behavior when the List/Chart Customization Control flag for the applicable User Group Screen Element Version is Based on User Profile. Not applicable for List Customization of lists in Transportation Smartbench. See List Customization and Chart Customization.
Allow Export Data from Lists: This flag will conditionally control whether user will be allowed to use the "Export Data" utility that can be triggered via icon from most web UI lists. This utility will export the list contents to a spreadsheet. This flag will control behavior when the Export Data Control flag for the applicable User Group Screen Element Version is Based on User Profile. See "Export list data to a spreadsheet".
Allow Search: This flag will conditionally control whether user will be allowed to use the Search utility that can be triggered via icon from many web UI lists. This flag will control behavior when the Search Control flag for the applicable User Group Screen Element Version is Based on User Profile. Not applicable for searches in Transportation Smartbench. See "Search screens".
Always Display Page Title: This flag controls whether the solution and page title should be displayed even when an error message is displayed on a Web UI page.
Display Date/Time Format: This flag controls whether the date or date/time format is displayed for the user on web UI pages.
Display Internal Page Name: This flag controls whether the screen name should appear on the Manage Searches, List Customization and Chart Customization pages in the Web UI.
