The Pro-Ration Strategy will control whether percentages are based on the extended weight (or volume or pallets)/distance for each load or just on the weight (or volume or pallets or distance or freight cost or freight amount) of load.
A percentage must be calculated for each load attached to the trip or booking:
When the Pro-Ration Strategy is Pro-Rate Based on Weight, the percentage will be established by dividing the weight value associated with each load by the total weight for all loads on the trip or booking.
When the Pro-Ration Strategy is Pro-Rate Based on Weight and Distance, the percentage will be established by dividing the extended weight/distance value associated with each load by the total weight/distance for all loads on the trip or booking.
When the Pro-Ration Strategy is Pro-Rate Based on Weight and Volume, the percentage will be established by dividing the extended weight/volume value associated with each load by the total weight/volume for all loads on the trip or booking.
When the Pro-Ration Strategy is Pro-Rate Based on Weight, Volume and Distance, the percentage will be established by dividing the extended weight/volume/distance value associated with each load by the total weight/volume/distance for all loads on the trip or booking.
When the Pro-Ration Strategy is Pro-Rate Based on Volume, the percentage will be established by dividing the volume value associated with each load by the total volume for all loads on the trip or booking.
When the Pro-Ration Strategy is Pro-Rate Based on Volume and Distance, the percentage will be established by dividing the extended volume/distance value associated with each load by the total volume/distance for all loads on the trip or booking.
When the Pro-Ration Strategy is Pro-Rate Based on Pallets, the percentage will be established by dividing the pallets value associated with each load by the total pallets for all loads on the trip or booking.
When the Pro-Ration Strategy is Pro-Rate Based on Pallets and Distance, the percentage will be established by dividing the extended pallets/distance value associated with each load by the total pallets/distance for all loads on the trip or booking.
When the Pro-Ration Strategy is Pro-Rate Based on Total Freight Cost, the percentage will be established by dividing the freight cost associated with each load by the total freight cost for all loads on the trip or booking.
When the Pro-Ration Strategy is Pro-Rate Based on Total Freight Amount, the percentage will be established by dividing the freight amount associated with each load by the total freight amount for all loads on the trip or booking. Total Freight Amount is the sum of charges computed for individual loads where Apply to Rating Units for Freight Amount is checked.
When the Pro-Ration Strategy is Pro-Rate Based on Total Distance, the percentage will be established by dividing the total distance associated with each load by the total distance for all loads on the trip or booking.
When the Pro-Ration Strategy is Pro-rate Based on Loaded Distance, the percentage will be established by dividing the loaded distance associated with each load by the total loaded distance for all loads on the trip or booking.
The total of all percentages for the trip might not exactly equal 100%.
