Charge ID: The ID for the master condition/option. It is user-assigned, mandatory and cannot be modified after a master condition/option has been created.
Charge Description: User maintainable description. It is mandatory. It can be modified in Update mode.
Condition: If flag is checked, master charge represents a condition. Otherwise, master charge represents an option. Cannot be modified after a master condition/option has been created.
Data Accumulation Level: Refers to the Data Accumulation Level Domain table. It is mandatory and cannot be modified after master condition/option has been created.
G/L Type: Refers to the G/L Type Domain table. It is mandatory. G/L Type is one of the dimensions for G/L Account Designations. It can be modified in Update mode.
Option Utilization: Refers to the Option Utilization Domain table. It is mandatory for options and must not be specified for conditions. Option Utilization controls whether option will be used for Tariff Service selection during routing / rating or for Dock Selection when the Assign Dock strategy is performed during optimization. It can be modified in Update mode only if no related data has been created for the option.
Unit Type: Refers to the Unit Type Domain table. It is mandatory. Defines the rating units that will be used when rating is performed for a Tariff Charge referencing this master condition/option (for example, weight, volume, distance, number of additional stops, or fuel surcharge). It can be modified in Update mode provided Multi-Freight Class is not checked and Condition is Tax is not checked.
Look-up Unit: Refers to the Unit Type Domain table. It is optional. Defines the default rating look-up units that will be assigned to a Tariff Charge referencing this master condition/option. If not defined, look-up units will be equal to Unit Type.
For example: Charge may be based on a rate per mile but weight might be the look-up units to establish the per-mile rate. It can be modified in Update mode.
Multi-Freight Class: If flag is checked, master charge represents a charge where separate rates will be applicable for each freight class. In this case, Unit Type must be weight and master charge must be a condition. If not checked, rates will not vary based on freight class. Flag cannot be modified after a master condition/option has been created.
Condition is Tax: If flag is checked, master charge will be a condition and will be used exclusively to represent tax amounts. Charges where this flag has been checked cannot be associated with tariffs. Flag cannot be modified after a master condition/option has been created.
Fuel Surcharge Charge: If flag is checked, master charge will be a condition. Flag must be enabled to be eligible to be referenced during Fuel Surcharge configuration. Flag cannot be modified after a master condition/option has been created.
Equipment Specific Charge: If a value is specified, master charge represents a charge where separate rates will be applicable for each equipment type. Field will indicate whether the applicable tractor or trailer equipment type should be used to identify rates. If not checked, rates will not vary based on equipment type. Field cannot be modified after a master condition/option has been created.
External ID 1: An external identifier that can be used for cross-reference purposes (for example, EDI).
External ID 2: A second external identifier.
Disable Cascading from Shipments: If flag is checked, charge overrides defined for a shipment will not cascade to corresponding shipment legs and loads. In this case, Apply A/P Option and Apply Dock Selection Constraint will never be editable for this master option for a shipment; Input Rating Units will remain editable as long as the shipment is eligible for A/R routing and rating. When not checked, Apply A/P Option, Apply Dock Selection Constraint and Input Rating Units will remain editable as long as all legs for the shipment (or corresponding loads) remain eligible for A/P routing and rating. Flag can be modified in Update mode.
Charge Detail Presentation: Refers to the Charge Detail Presentation Domain table, where each valid row represents a color. It is optional. If a value is specified, any row on any List of Charge Details for this Master Charge will include a column with the designated color. This feature can highlight specific charges or sets of charges (for example, options or pre-purchased). It can be modified in Update mode.
Duplicate Enabled: Indicates whether charge overrides referencing this Charge ID will be copied by the duplicate shipment operation on the web UI. It can be selected for any options plus conditions where Unit Type is Manually Input. It can be modified in Update mode.
