"Last Numbers are associated with several different entities in Transportation Manager. These values are used when establishing unique identifiers for system-generation transactions. Usually, the "Next Number" used as an identifier is established by retrieving the applicable "Last Number" and adding 1 to this value.
Note: Depending on the configuration of the applicable Reference Number Qualifiers, Master Bill of Lading Numbers, Bill of Lading Numbers and Carrier Tracking Numbers can also be generated using "Last Numbers". These reference numbers could also be system-generated based on transaction ID (for example, Load ID), or the required values might be user-defined during the confirmation process.
