Shipment Leg Charges (Carrier/Employee)

This Shipment Leg Charges screen can be accessed only for shipment legs that are assigned to a load.

When invoked for a shipment leg assigned to a load that is not rated, the Shipment Leg Charges screen will show an empty list of charges.

When invoked for a shipment leg assigned to a load that is rated, the Shipment Leg Charges screen will show pro-rated shipment leg charges, based on the existing load rating results.

All existing charge details will be displayed (Original and Adjustments). Charges will be listed in the following sequence: Service level charges followed by Condition level charges followed by Option level charges. Inside a level (Service/ Condition/ Option) the charges will be sequenced in ascending order based on Priority Sequence.

A total line is presented at the bottom of the list.

Pro-ration of charges will depend on the charge level:

• For charge details that refer to a specific shipment leg on the load, costs will not be pro-rated; the entire amount will be assigned to the designated shipment leg.

  In this case, shipment leg specific charges are only considered if associated to the selected shipment leg, in which case the entire charge amount will be shown (that is, no pro-ration will be performed).

• For charge details that refer to a specific stop for a load, costs will be allocated only to the shipments being picked and/or dropped at that stop. In this case, only stop charges assigned to the pick and/ or to the drop stop of the given shipment leg will be considered (and pro-rated accordingly).
• For charge details that refer to the entire load (that is, do not refer to a shipment leg or stop), costs will be allocated to all shipments attached to the load. In this case, for each of these charges, the cost allocated to the applicable shipment leg will be computed using the shipment leg’s computed percentage of load attributes (that is, weight, volume, pallets, distance).
