Search for Events Attributes (Employee)

Use this screen to search for event attributes for the applicable event or specific event attribute.

When search is requested from the Define Event Content for CIS page (highest level) or the Define Event Attribute Content for CIS page (any lower level), the same search page is displayed: Search for Event Attributes.

Because the access point for the search page is not fixed, the behavior for this search page will differ from that of most search pages in the Transportation Manager web UI. Specifically, the search page will not "remember" the previous filter criteria. The system default filter criteria will always be presented when the user accesses this search page. On most search pages in the Transportation Manager web UI, search pages will present the values supplied when the search page was most recently visited (during the current session when Saved Search is not available or during any session when Saved Search is available).

Behavior must be different in this case because the settings for the filter page control the selection of data for the corresponding list. If a user supplies filter criteria at the highest level and then elects to expand one of the elements, the expected behavior would be for the list to present all sub-elements for the selected data element. This will not occur unless the current filter criteria are reset to eliminate filter criteria used for the highest level list. The same problem would exist when moving between any two levels.

Note that when filtering is used at one level and user navigates to a lower level, the original filter criteria will still be in effect when the user subsequently returns to the level where filtering was used. User would have to visit the search page and return to refresh the list to include all available data elements.
