The List of Status Definitions displays the list of Status Groups used to represent the life cycle of transactional entities within Transportation Manager. This list of Status Groups is fixed as is the List of Statuses defined for each group.
Each status in a Status Group is normally linked to one or more System Required Reason Codes. These Reason Codes are presented on the Status Properties page and are used by events generated while the associated entity is in this status or when the associated entity moves from this status (usually to the next status in the entity life cycle but possibly to a previous status).
The set of System Required Reason Codes that are linked to a specific status within a Status Group is also fixed.
User Defined Reason Codes can be used by some of the events generated when the status of an entity changes but this is controlled by the combination of entity status and the event being generated. These User Defined Reason Codes are therefore maintained via Event Association functionality.
Note: The setting of the Generate Event flag on the Status Properties page controls whether or not an event will be generated based on this Entity Status
By default, the List of Status Definitions is sorted in ascending order by Status Group. For information on icons and functionalities available on the list pages, see Web Interface lists.
