This function is used to maintain entity descriptions in languages other than the default language for the application. Data can also be loaded into the entity language description table as part of a language pack upgrade.
Entity language descriptions can be defined for approximately fifty different setup tables. Many of these tables are typically configured at time of initial implementation and change infrequently afterwards.
The list of entity language descriptions cannot present entries for more than one of the supported entities at a time. Navigate to the Search for Entity Language Descriptions page to select the desired entity and then click the Search button.
When this list is presented, TM will join data from the selected entity with corresponding data from the entity language description table. The primary entity for the list will be the selected entity, so a row will appear on this list even when alternate language descriptions have not been defined for the a given entry in the applicable table.
By default, the list will present alternate language descriptions for Domain Table Entries. Default Sort Sequence is Language, Entity 1 ID and Entity 2 ID.
For information on icons and functionalities available on the list pages, see Web Interface lists.
For this list, user will be required to select exactly one row when triggering the New operation.
Refer to the Alternate Language Description Entities Domain table for a complete list of supported entities.
