List of Rate Codes for Tariff (Employee)

Rate Codes are used to link Tariff Rates and Tariff Lanes. Each Rate Code references a set of rates which could apply to one or more lanes. The List of Rate Codes for Tariff contains a row for each Rate Code defined for the tariff. All active lanes and all rates refer to a Rate Code.

Rate Codes can be created from the List of Rate Codes. They can also be created when creating a Lane or Rate by specifying Create Using Specified Value for Rate Code Control. The List of Rate Codes for Tariff will list Rate Codes created from any of these sources.

The List of Rate Codes for Tariff can only be accessed from the List of Tariffs.

List

By default, the List of Rate Codes for Tariff will be sorted in ascending order by Rate Code.

For information on icons and functionalities available on the list pages, see Web Interface lists.

For referential tariffs, by default, the List of Rate Codes for Tariff will present only the Rate Codes specifically defined for the referential tariff. Users can elect to also include Rate Codes from the corresponding master tariff.

Note: If the same Rate Code has been created on a master tariff and a corresponding referential tariff, when viewing Rate Codes for the referential tariff and including Rate Codes from the master tariff, two separate rows will be presented in succession.

Properties

The properties for a Rate Code are maintained on a single page.

Notes: You must create a "catch-all" Rate Code for each tariff where you want the same rates to apply to multiple Rate Codes. The "catch-all" Rate Code is a single asterisk, left adjusted (that is, "* "). For example: If additional stop charges for a TL tariff are the same for all lanes, you could define the rates for stop condition just once for the "catch-all" Rate Code rather than repeating the same rate for each of the Rate Code for the tariff.
