List of Item Package Levels (Employee)

This page allows you to create item package levels for an item number. Item package levels define product dimensions used to pack shipments into available spaces of an equipment type and supports user-definable packaging types. The system defaults are:

• Layers
• Pallets
• Pieces

When routing, rating and scheduling or optimization is performed for a load containing a shipment that was created using item summary level, data in the item package level table will be referenced to determine if there is an opportunity to consolidate the order quantity into a larger shipping container.

By default, the list is sorted in ascending order by the Item Package Level Number field.

Operations

• Activate: Activates the selected item package level.
• Deactivate: Deactivates the selected active item package level so that it cannot be used in the Item Summary Level shipment mode.
• Delete: Deletes the selected item package level.
• Duplicate: Creates a copy of the selected item package level.
• New: Creates an item package level.
• Properties: Displays the properties of the selected package level such as package level ID, status of the package level, carrier packaging type, dimensions of the package, and rating unit type.
