Use this page to define constraints at equipment type level for a Domicile. This data is used by Transportation Planner when optimizing shipments, loads, and trips. It is also used by the routing process when identifying domicile-based routes for any routable A/P entity (load, trip, non-operational freight, shipment leg, or rate quotation). Domicile Equipment is normally defined for private fleet and dedicated fleet carriers.
Overlapping date/time ranges can be defined for a specific Domicile/Equipment Type combination. When this occurs, optimizer considers each applicable date/time range and applies penalties, as required. When multiple rows exist for the same Domicile/Equipment Type combination, both Optimizer and the routing process use the first row that is encountered when establishing distance maximums.
List
The Domicile Equipment Types list displays all Domicile Equipment data for a specific Domicile. By default, the list is sorted in ascending order by Equipment Type ID.
For information on icons and functionalities available on the list pages, see Web Interface lists.
Properties
The Domicile Equipment Type properties are presented on a single page. See "Domicile Equipment fields".
The combo box for equipment types contains every equipment type that has been enabled for at least one tariff/service combination for the tariffs for the parent carrier of the domicile.
Note: At least one row must exist in the Domicile Equipment table for each Domicile ID and Equipment Type combination defined in the Domicile Vehicles table.
