Assign a shipment to an existing load (Employee)

This task describes how to attach a shipment leg to an existing load that is still being planning (that is, still attached to a load plan).

From the Transportation Manager Web user interface:

  1. Perform one of the following tasks:
  2. Select a shipment leg.
  3. Click Assign to Existing Load. The Assign to Existing Load screen is displayed.
  4. Select a load to which you want to assign the selected shipment leg.
  5. Click Submit.

OR

  1. Click Load Build > Work With Plan > Loads. The List of Loads Attached to Plan is displayed.
  2. Select a load.
  3. Click Shipments. The Shipments Assigned to Load list is displayed. The Assigned Shipments tab is selected.
  4. Click the Unassigned Shipments tab. The Shipments not Assigned to Loads list is displayed. The Assigned Shipments tab is selected.
  5. Select a shipment leg.
  6. Click Assign to Load.

Note: If multiple shipment legs were selected, all legs are assigned to the same load, if possible. Incompatible shipment legs (for example, conflicting commodity, freight terms, shipment consolidation class) are not assigned to the load.
