Rate Shop - Loads on Trip Operations - Transportation Smartbench

This section lists the load rate shop operations in alphabetical order with a brief description.

Note: Administrators configure which operations are available and the order in which they are displayed based on their role. Only authorized operations are displayed in your operations toolbar.

Comprehensive validations are performed by back-end APIs upon Submit and Submit/Tender. These operations generally close the Rate Shop page and display a summarized message in the message area of the main TSB frame. If back-end validation fails (for example, results cannot be committed), the page remains open and the error is displayed in the rate shop message area.

Rating Results operations

Selection Required

Description

Carrier Hours/Contacts

No

Displays the business hours and contacts for the selected carrier.

Charge Overrides

Yes

Displays the charge overrides for the load. See Charge Overrides (Employee).

Note: If Charge Overrides are updated for any load on the trip, routing, rating and scheduling will be performed and user will be redirected to the Rate Shop for Trip - Transportation Smartbench page.

Charges

Yes

Displays the list of charge details for the selected load. These will have been computed using the previously selected tariff/service combination

Charge details are displayed for each condition and selected option where the computed amount is non-zero and where the charge was not superseded.

Destination Properties

Yes

Displays the destination location properties of the selected load.

Message Log

No

Displays the rating/routing message log for the most recent rating request. It provides failure reasons for tariff/service combinations that are considered but where routing, rating and scheduling (or routing/rating) was not successful. The Message Log can be used to determine why an expected tariff/service does not appear in the list of rating results.

The message log can be displayed even if there are no valid rating results.

The first time you request the operation in a rate shop session, the system must re-issue the rating request to request/retrieve messages as they are suppressed by default).

Origin Properties

Yes

Displays the origin location properties of the selected load.

Rate

No

Performs a rating request for the trip. This will be required if any equipment types have been modified

Rating CEA Resources List

No

Displays the list of selected and unselected Carrier Equipment Availability (CEA) Resource Constraints for the trip. List contents will vary based on the previously selected tariff/service combination. See Display the rating CEA resources (Employee).

Rating Domicile Resources List

No

Displays the list of selected and unselected domicile resources for the trip. List contents will vary based on the previously selected tariff/service combination. See Display the rating domicile resources (Employee).

 

Schedule

Yes

Displays scheduling details for the selected load. The list will breakdown the moving and stopped (i.e. non-moving times). Rows representing stopped time will have a reason (e.g. Driver Break, Loading, Unloading). See Scheduling/Overrides (Employee).

Note: Scheduling Information can be accessed only when the Rate Shop page is presented for a tariff/service combination where scheduling is active.

Submit

No

Applies the selected carrier/tariff/service combination for the trip.

Submit Tender

No

Applies the selected carrier/tariff/service combination to the trip and tenders to the applicable carrier.

Operation status for all loads on the trip must be one of the following:

  • Planned
  • Tendered
  • Tender Accepted
  • Tender Rejected

    When applicable, a popup prompts the user to select a Tender Cancel Reason Code and/or Auto-Accept Tender options.

     

Tariff Service Hours/Contacts

No

Displays the business hours and contacts for the selected tariff/service combination.

Tractor Domicile Hours/ Contacts

No

Displays the business hours and contacts for the tractor domicile if the associated carrier is domicile-based.

Trailer Domicile Hours/ Contacts

Yes

Displays the business hours and contacts for the trailer domicile if the associated carrier is domicile-based.
