List of User Screen Configurations (Employee)

The List of User Screen Configurations will allow a systems administrator to manage User Screen Configurations for any Transportation Manager user.

Authorized users can:

• Establish default settings that differ from the values shipped by JDA.
• Change settings for an individual user.
• Apply global changes for all users in a User Group.
• Duplicate an existing Screen Configuration for one or more Users or one or more User Groups.

This function will allow administrators to customize a list and make this version of the list immediately available to all system users, or to all users in a particular user group.

Note: An alternate approach to overriding defaults for all users would be to log on to Transportation Manager as User ID "*DFT" and then apply overrides directly by accessing List Customization from the applicable lists. Do not use the "*DFT" User ID to perform day to day operations as changes may unintentionally impact other users.

List

By default, the List of User Screen Configurations is sorted in ascending order by User ID and then Screen Name.

Set-Up

The Set-Up User Screen Configurations page will allow an existing User Screen Configuration to be copied such that it will be used by one or more users or one or more user groups.

Note: If the Replace Existing check box is selected from the Set-Up User Screen Configurations page, the User List Configuration will be copied for the user (or users in the group) even when there is an existing User List Configuration. If not selected, copy will occur only when then is no existing User List Configuration for the user.

Note: When Set-Up is performed for a User Group, changes will apply only for the users in the User Group at the time the Set-Up operation is requested. User List Customization will not automatically be inherited for users subsequently enrolled in the User Group.
