List of Itineraries (Employee)

An itinerary specifies the path that is followed by the vehicles providing a service.

There will be one or more entry in this table for each lane covered by the Delivery Schedule. A lane could refer to any of the following:

There is no reasonable limit on the number of separate Itineraries that can be configured for a specific Delivery Schedule.

Each Itinerary where Scheduling Method is Timetable must be associated with a Timetable before it can be used during scheduling. The value specified will be validated against the table of Timetable entries for the same Delivery Schedule.

The list can be accessed from the List of Delivery Schedules and directly from the navigation pad. When accessed from the List of Delivery Schedules, the list name will be “List of Delivery Schedule Itineraries” and will only include itineraries for the applicable delivery schedule. When accessed directly from the navigation pad, the list name will be “List of Itineraries” and all configured itineraries can be listed.

List

The List of Itineraries displays itineraries for all delivery schedules. By default, the List of Itineraries is sorted in ascending order by Itinerary ID.

For information on icons and functionalities available on the list pages, see Web Interface lists.

Search

The Search for Itineraries page allows for filtering to be performed based on an Itinerary Point. If filtering is requested based on Itinerary Point, resulting list will include all Itineraries for the current Delivery Schedule where designated shipping location or zone appears at any point in the itinerary (that is, origin, mid-point or final destination).

When this list is accessed directly from the navigation pad, you can use the Save Search capability to save the specified search criteria for later use, or Select Saved Search to restore and use previously saved search criteria.

Properties

The properties for an Itinerary are defined on a single page which includes control information and a list of associated Itinerary Points. Each Itinerary Point could refer to a shipping location (load-at, hub, consignee, D/C) or a generic zone.

Once an Itinerary has been associated with a Timetable, it will not be possible to change the Number of Itinerary Points for the Timetable.

If the Stops Must Match Itineraries flag for the delivery schedule is True, all points on the itinerary must refer to a specific shipping location.

See “Itinerary Fields” for additional details.

Note: You can Deactivate an active Delivery Schedule or Activate an inactive Delivery Schedule.
