Exchange Rates (Employee)

Use the "List of Exchange Rates" screen to access and define exchange rates, Effective Date, and Expiration Date for each currency.

When you access this screen from the “List of Currency Codes” page, you can define an exchange rate for the selected currency code.

When you access this screen from the “List of Exchange Rate Groups” page, you can define an exchange rate for any currency that belongs to the selected exchange rate group.

Note: You cannot Create / Update Exchange Rates for Base Currency or Currency with Euro Rate.

For each regular Currency Code that is not the base currency and is without Euro Rate, the Effective Date and Expiration Date will be optional. If Effective Date is not specified, the exchange rate will apply to any date before and on the Expiration Date, and the maximum number of exchange rate without an Effective Date will be one for each Exchange Rate Group and Currency Code combination. If Expiration Date is not specified, the exchange rate will apply to any date on and after the Effective Date, and the maximum number of exchange rate without an Expiration Date will be one for each Exchange Rate Group and Currency Code combination. If both the Effective Date and Expiration Date are not specified, then the exchange rate will apply to any date, and only one of such rate for each Exchange Rate Group and Currency Code combination will be allowed. For each Currency Code, overlap in exchange rate date ranges in an Exchange Rate Group will not be allowed. If both dates are specified, the Expiration Date must be greater than or equal to the corresponding Effective Date. For customers who want to ensure that there are always exchange rates available for rating, they may choose to have open end Expiration Date for the latest exchange rates.
