Quick filters

Quick filters provide a convenient way for users to refine the viewable results of a search without having to modify the grid’s underlying search criteria. Data values applied in quick filter fields are applied in addition to search conditions defined to populate the grid.

Quick filters can be enabled on entity grids through the List Customization operation’s ‘Show Quick Filters’ option. Quick filters appear by default (and cannot be disabled) on select read-only grids such as Rate Shop’s Rating Messages UI. Quick filters are available only on columns that have been selected for display. When enabled, quick filters appear as a single row of grid cells between the grid’s operation set (if any) and above grid column titles. Quick filtering is supported on text (string), enumeration, and number (integer/float) data types.

To apply a quick filter, type a value into a quick filter cell (or if a combo box is provided, select the desired values) and either hit the ‘Enter’ key, or click on the Filter icon. The grid view will be refreshed to display rows matching your quick filter criteria.

Text fields support the same special characters supported by entity searches:

Number fields support these operators:

The grid will be refreshed to display rows that meet the applicable search criteria, plus any quick filter criteria that may remain.
