This section describes behavior for rows created in the charge detail table representing charges computed at container level. This applies to charges computed using SMC RateWare integration as well as charges computed exclusively using internal rating calculations.
When charge details are recorded in Transportation Manager, the Rating Units will reflect the value used as the basis for rating and the Look-Up Units will reflect the value used when performing rate range look-up. For charge details representing charges where the (Rating) Unit Type is Weight, the value recorded as the Rating Units will reflect the results of the calculations to establish the weight to use as a basis for rating. The same is true for Look-Up Units.
For charge details representing specific containers, the value assigned for Rating Units and/or Look-Up Units will correspond to exactly one of the four possible weight classifications.
Consequently, it is possible that the values recorded in the charge detail table may not correspond to the actual weight for the container.
