Distance engines – Configure external engine versions

Version ID

A unique identifier for the External Engine Version. User-defined versions cannot end with the underscore ("_") character. Version ID cannot be modified.

Version Description

A description for the External Engine Versions. This description will be used to populate the combo box that is presented elsewhere in Transportation Manager when prompting for a Distance Engine. Description can be modified in Update mode.

Type

Type is not applicable for External Engine Versions for Distance Engines.

Data

The Data field will be used to define the Route Type and other control parameters associated with the Distance Engine. Data will be specified using a series of comma-delimited parameters in this format:

RouteType:<routeType>,<OptionName1>:<OptionValue1>,<OptionName2>:<OptionValue2>,…

Data 2

Data 2 is not applicable for External Engine Versions for Distance Engines.

Active

Indicates whether the Distance Engine represented by the External Engine Version is active. The combo box that is presented elsewhere in Transportation Manager when prompting for a Distance Engine will usually be restricted to Active Distance Engines; inactive engines will appear only when the inactive Distance Engine has been previously configured for the applicable entity (for example, Tariff). The Active flag can be modified in Update mode.

Division

Division must be null for External Engine Versions for Distance Engines.
