A customer-specific carrier tariff (CSCT) is a carrier tariff that applies to a specific customer. These are used in situations where a carrier has agreed to give a preferential rate to one of your customers. You can set up a special tariff for this carrier that will apply only to shipments for that customer. These tariffs are used for A/P routing / rating / scheduling.
The system gives you the flexibility to determine how these CSCTs are applied. You can choose to use the customer specific tariff regardless of the availability of other tariffs, or have the system compare the customer specific rate to the generic rate for that service and choose the most favorable. This control is defined using the A/P Routing Tariff Selection Control in the Customer profile.
Routing / rating / scheduling for loads and trips will consider a CSCT only when all shipments attached to the load or trip reference the same customer. To ensure that a load does not mix shipments for the customer referenced on the CSCT with shipments for other customers, set the Mixed in Loads flag in the customer profile to False.
