The Shipment Leg Confirmation Reversal operation will be disallowed if any of the following requirements cannot be satisfied:
Financial Status: The Financial Status for the shipment leg must be Eligible. The Financial Status of associated manifest must also be Eligible.
Operational Status: The Operational Status for the shipment leg must be Picked Up. The Operational Status for all of the other shipment legs attached to the same manifest must also be Picked Up.
Trigger updates
The following updates will be triggered by Shipment Leg Confirmation Reversal operation:
Manifest
The following columns will be updated for the manifest to which the shipment leg is currently attached:
Operational Status: The Operational Status of the manifest will remain at Picked Up if there is at least one other shipment leg attached. If the selected shipment leg is the only shipment leg on the manifest, the manifest will be set to Canceled.
Financial Status: The Financial Status of the manifest will remain Eligible if there is at least one other shipment leg attached. If the selected shipment leg is the only shipment leg on the manifest, the manifest will be set to Closed.
Shipment Leg
The following data for shipment leg will be affected:
Rating results: The rating results for the shipment leg will be invalidated.
Reference Numbers: If the carrier is committed, then only the BOL Number and/or Shipment Leg Detail Tracking Number will be deleted. If carrier is not committed, other carrier reference numbers will also be deleted.
Confirmed Ship Date/Time: The Confirmed Ship Date/Time will be set to null.
Operational Status: The Operational Status of the shipment leg will be set back to Planned.
Manifest: Since the shipment leg will not be attached to a manifest after the reversal, the Manifest ID will be cleared.
Financial Status: The Financial Status of the shipment leg will revert back to Ineligible.
BOL Printed Times: This counter will be reset to zero.
Shipment Leg Details
All shipment leg details associated with the shipment leg will be deleted. All memos and reference numbers (including Shipment Leg Detail Tracking Number) associated with each shipment leg detail will also be deleted.
Note: Rows in the A/P operational transition table associated with deleted shipment leg details will not be removed by the Shipment Leg Confirmation Reversal process. However, when the Shipment Leg History list is accessed for a shipment leg on a manifest with shipment detail level tracking data, events for deleted shipment leg details will not appear even though this data will continue to exist.
Shipment
The following columns in the shipment table will be impacted for the shipment leg where confirmation is being reversed:
Financial Status: The Financial Status for the corresponding shipment will be set back to Ineligible. If other legs for the shipment have not yet gone through the confirmation process, the shipments will already be in the required status.
Number of Times Confirmed Counter: This counter will be reduced by one. It records the number of legs for the shipment that have moved through the confirmation process.
Operational Status: If the Number of Times Confirmed counter in the Shipment table is reduced to zero, the shipment's Operational Status will be reversed back to Processed.
Event Notification
If enabled, the Event Notification message ShipmentLegConfirmationReversal will be generated.
Proactive Monitoring Alerts
The Shipment Leg Confirmation Reversal monitoring situation will be generated, if enabled. This will be used to reinstate alert for Pick-up Overdue and cancel alert for Late Pick-Up violation for the shipment leg. The Monitoring Situation can also be used to trigger user-enabled Notification Alerts.
