Search using Zip/Postal Code Range

When search is performed using a Zip/Postal Code Range as a filter criterion, application will select zones where at least one Geo-Area has a zip/postal code or zip/postal range that is wholly contained within the range defined on the search page.

The search process will select zones where both of the following are true for at least one Geo-Area:

For example: Assume a zone has one Geo-Area defined with a Zip / Postal Range of 33067-0000 to 33069-9999.

The following table indicates whether this zone would be selected when search is performed using various search arguments for Zip/Postal Code Range:

If a value has been provided for From Zip/Postal Code but To Zip/Postal Code is not specified, search process will assume the highest possible value has been specified as the upper end of the range. Likewise, if a value has been provided for To Zip/Postal Code but From Zip/Postal Code is not specified, search process will assume the lowest possible value has been specified as the lower end of the range.

Note: Zip/Postal Code Range fields on search pages do not allow special characters. This includes special characters (for example, dashes or spaces) that are sometimes used when formatting Zip/Postal Codes for presentation.
