Locked

Shipments cannot be added or removed from Locked loads. The itinerary (that is, stop sequence) of locked loads cannot be modified.

Pre-built loads must be in Locked Planning status.

Loads in any of the following Operational Statuses will be in Locked Planning Status: Confirming, Picked-Up, In Transit, Completed, Closed. When confirmation for a load commences, the Planning Status will be advanced to Locked, if not already Locked.

One reason to send a locked load to the optimizer would be for consideration by the continuous move strategies. The load might already be attached to a trip. If the load is not attached to a trip, the optimizer might attach the load to a new or existing trip. If the load is already attached to a trip, the trip might be extended.

Another reason for sending a locked load to optimizer would be to allow the carrier and/or service and/or equipment type for the load to be assigned based on carrier equipment availability constraints.
