When weight / volume constraints for a load have been overridden for a load, optimization and routing/ rating/ scheduling will be impacted as follows:
The maximum weight and volume capacity for the committed equipment type will be substituted in place of the computed maximum weight and volume for the load. This will impact the edits performed for the load that compare the load’s maximum weight and volume to the minimum and maximum weight and volume restrictions for tariff/services, tariff/lanes and tariff/service/equipment types (that is, the minimum and maximum weight/volume for the tariff restrictions are compared to the weight/volume capacity for the selected equipment type rather than the computed maximum based on member shipments).
Note: Substitution will not occur when both weight and volume for the equipment type are zero.
Edits based on near tail boundary location and side door location for the equipment type are not performed. Otherwise, the Side Door / Rear Door lengths associated with the equipment type are converted to volumes. These volumes are then used to perform edits vs. the load composition to ensure that unloading can be performed using the appropriate door.
Edits based on maximum weight/volume for shipping locations will not be performed.
Edits using Load Configurator will not be performed.
Edits based on maximum dimensions for containers (length, width, and height) versus restrictions for tariff/services, tariff/lanes and tariff/service/equipment types will be performed.
If Loading / Unloading Times are being computed based on weight and/or volume, the computed times for stops for a load with overridden weight/volume will be still be based on the values for corresponding shipments.
