Shipment Update – Special considerations for load plans

If load MITCC is modified when updating a shipment and the revised value is not null and other shipments already refer to the same load MITCC:

• If legs for these other shipments are already attached to a plan and legs for the updated shipment are not attached to a plan, legs for updated shipment will be attached to the same plan as the one to which the other legs are already attached.
• If legs for these other shipments are not already attached to a plan and legs for the updated shipment are attached to a plan, legs for all other shipments with the same load MITCC that are not attached to a load will be attached to the plan to which the legs for the updated shipment are attached.
• If legs for the selected shipment are attached to a plan and other shipments refer to the same load MITCC and legs for these other shipments are attached to a different plan, the update request will be rejected.

Note: If load MITCC is removed from a shipment, the legs for the shipment will not be automatically removed from a plan even if legs were originally attached to the plan to accommodate load MITCC.
