Shipment Creation – Special considerations for load plans

When creating a shipment, Transportation Manager provides an option to immediately assign shipment legs for the new shipment to a load plan.

If both a load MITCC and Plan ID are specified for a new shipment:

• If other shipments already refer to the same load MITCC and legs for these other shipments are already attached to a load plan, the designated Plan ID for the new shipment must be equal to the Plan ID to which the other shipment legs are already attached.
• If other shipments already refer to the same load MITCC and shipment legs for these other shipments are not already attached to a plan, all legs for all other shipments with the common load MITCC that are not attached to a load will be assigned to the designated Plan ID along with the legs for the new shipment.

If load MITCC is specified and other shipments already refer to the same load MITCC and legs for these other shipments are already attached to a plan, legs for the new shipment will be assigned to this plan.
