The load gross margin inquiry page will allow users to allocate costs based on each leg's percentage of total cost for the load or each leg's percentage of total direct distance for the load. The likelihood of required costs being in place for all shipment legs during the load building phase is rather low. Consequently, when computing the anticipated gross margin that will be persisted in the load table, distance will be used as the basis for revenue allocation.
