Depending on system configuration, Load Confirmation can be performed as a distinct operation after Stop Confirmation had been performed for each of the pickup stops for a load. In the alternative, Load Confirmation can be triggered automatically once Stop Confirmation has been performed for all pickup stops for a load.
If Load Confirmation is performed for a load where some of the pickup stops have yet to be confirmed, Transportation Manager will automatically trigger Stop Confirmation each unconfirmed pickup stop.
Establish eligibility to perform operation
The Load Confirmation operation will be disallowed if any of the following requirements cannot be satisfied:
Load Financial Status: The Financial Status for the load must be Ineligible.
Trip Itinerary Sequence: If the load is attached to a trip, load must be the first load on the trip to have not yet reached a Financial Status of Voucher Pending. The Trip Sequence Number for each load establishes expected trip sequence.
The following columns in the load table will be impacted:
Financial Status: The Financial Status will be advanced from Ineligible to Voucher Pending.
Continuous Moves Eligibility Flag: The Continuous Moves Eligibility flag for the load will be reset based on the value defined for the carrier currently assigned to the load.
Event Notification
If enabled, the LoadConfirmed Event Notification message will also be generated.
Trip
If the load is attached to a trip, the following columns in the trip table might be impacted:
Operational Status: Advanced to Picked Up once Load Confirmation has been performed for all loads attached to the trip. If the Trip Operational Status is modified, a row is created in the A/P operational transition table to provide a permanent audit trail.
Financial Status: Advanced to Voucher Pending once Load Confirmation has been performed for all loads attached to the trip.
Continuous Moves Eligibility: If necessary, this flag in the trip header is reset based on the value defined for the carrier currently assigned to the trip.
Trip Initiation Date / Time: If Load Confirmation is being performed for the first load on the trip, the Trip Initiation Date/Time for the trip will be populated using the Shipped Date/Time for the first load on the trip's itinerary.
