Note: Values in various Transportation Manager tables are expressed in the base units of measure and currency. Changes to these values will corrupt existing transactions. Do not change these values after initial implementation.
Unit of Measure Type: Metric or Imperial. This will be the default when creating new user profiles.
Distance: Must be Miles if Unit of Measure Type is Imperial and Kilometers if Metric. All distances captured in Transportation Manager tables will be maintained in this Unit of Measure (UOM). This will be the default distance UOM when creating new user profiles.
Weight: Can be Pounds or (Short) Tons if Unit of Measure Type is Imperial. Can be Kilograms or Metric Tons if Unit of Measure Type is Metric. This will be the base weight UOM. Weights are maintained exclusively in base weight UOM in the trip, load and stop tables. Equivalent base weight is maintained for NOF, shipment and shipment leg tables. This will be the default weight UOM when creating new user profiles.

Volumes are maintained exclusively in base volume UOM in the trip, load and stop tables. Equivalent volume is maintained for NOF, shipment and shipment leg tables. This will be the default volume UOM when creating new user profiles.
