Load Carrier Sequential Tender (CST)

Enabled: Indicates whether Carrier Sequential Tendering is enabled. If true, eligible loads (loads with scheduling active and not attached to a trip or booking) will be tendered in sequence to potential carriers until a carrier accepts the tender, or the list of potential carriers is exhausted.
Auto Cancel Tender Enabled: This flag will control whether tenders will be automatically cancelled when the carrier's allotted time for tender response has expired. This flag is meaningful only when the CST Enabled flag has been activated and is applicable only for loads eligible for the CST process. If this flag is active and the carrier does not respond with an Accept or Reject prior to the Tender Response Required By Date/Time, the tender will be automatically cancelled for the current carrier and re-tendered to the next carrier / service combination on the Eligible Carriers list. If this flag is not active, the CST process will not automatically cancel a tender; in this case, an explicit action is required by the carrier (Tender Reject) or employee (Tender Cancel) before the load will be re-tendered to the next carrier / service combination. Tenders for loads that are not eligible for CST (loads with scheduling deactivated; loads attached to a trip or booking) will never be automatically cancelled.
Number of Eligible Carrier/Services: When CST for a load starts, the route, rate and schedule process will be performed to identify all qualifying carrier / tariff / service combinations. This value defines the maximum number of combinations that CST will consider for each load. The maximum allowed value is 20.
Number of Eligible Carrier/Services Considered Prior to Spot Carriers: If Spot Market carriers have been configured, CST will insert carrier / service combinations for eligible spot market carriers into the list generated by the route, rate and schedule process for the load. The Spot Market carriers will be inserted into the list after the position designated by this value.
Recognize Carrier's Business Hours: This flag will determine whether the carrier's Business Hours will be considered during the CST process. If active, before a tender is issued to a carrier, the CST will ensure that the carrier is currently open, or that sufficient time exists to wait for the carrier to reopen before responding to the tender to that carrier; if not active, carrier's business hours will not be considered.
If Domiciles have been defined for the carrier and the address for the load's first stop is within the area defined by the Dispatch Zone for a Domicile, the Business Hours for the Domicile will be used.
Minimum Time Required (hours): When recognizing the carrier's business hours, this value will be referenced when the carrier is currently open but will be closed at the time the tender offer will expire. It will be used to determine which date/time will be used as the basis for computing the Tender Response Required By Date/Time: the current date/time or the next time the carrier opens for business.
For example: Assume it is currently 17:00 and the carrier being considered is slated to close at 17:30. Also assume the Tender Response Hours is two hours. If the Minimum Time Required for CST Response is greater than half an hour, the tender cannot be issued to the carrier using the current date/time as the basis for computing the Tender Response Required By Date/Time. If the Minimum Time Required for CST Response is half an hour or less, the tender will be offered to the carrier for immediate response, assuming all other qualifications are met.

When this attribute is zero, it will indicate that no minimum is in effect. In this case, as long as the carrier is open at the time the tender is being considered, the load will be offered to the carrier, again, assuming all other qualification criteria are met.

This value will also be used when available time is allocated to the remaining carrier / service combinations based on percentage; carriers will always be allowed at least this much time to respond to any tender, regardless of the allocation.
Business Hours: Specifies whether mid-day breaks specified in a carrier’s business hours (if any) are considered or ignored in response time calculations.
Response Time: When Recognize Carrier's Business Hours is selected and Minimum Time Required (hours) is defined, this field specifies how Minimum Time Required (hours) is used. This option indicates the starting point for computing tender response timeouts.
- Use Minimum Required Time: The tender response date/time computation will subtract the lesser of Minimum Time Required (hours) and carrier’s Tender Response Time (hours) from time remaining in the carrier’s current applicable business hours window. If negative, tender response duration will begin at the open time of the carrier’s next defined business hours window.
- Based on Minimum Required Time: If the Minimum Time Required (hours) is not greater than time remaining in the carrier’s current applicable business hours window, the tender response duration will begin to countdown immediately. The remaining tender response duration (if any) will factor in periods when carrier business hours are closed.
