Note: All fields in this section except Active can be modified in update mode.
Start Date/Time: Specifies the start date and time for equipment availability. Loads and trips with a dispatch date/time within the range defined by the Start Date/Time and End Date/Time are controlled by the minimum and maximum values defined for the equipment availability.
Notes:
If the time is not defined, midnight (00:00) is considered by default.
If only the start date/time is defined without the end date/time, the equipment availability constraint applies to any load with a dispatch date/time greater than or equal to the designated start date/time.
End Date/Time: Specifies the end date and time for equipment availability. Loads and trips with a dispatch date/time that are within the range defined by the Start Date/Time and End Date/Time are controlled by the minimum and maximum values defined for the equipment availability.
Notes:
If time is not defined, one minute before midnight (23:59) is considered by default.
If only the end date/time is defined without the start date/time, the equipment availability constraint applies to any load with a dispatch date/time less than or equal to the designated end date/time.
Active: Indicates whether the equipment availability is active and considered by Transportation Planner.
Minimum Number of Loads/Trips: Specifies the minimum number of loads or trips that must be assigned to this carrier or tariff/service during optimization and route, rate, and scheduling processes to avoid the minimum load/trip penalty. The penalty is applied for each load or trip below the minimum number when Enforce Constraints As Percentage is not enabled; otherwise, the penalty is applied for each percentage point below the minimum percentage value.
Minimum Load/Trip Penalty: The minimum penalty amount for each violation for loads or trips expressed in the base system currency. This penalty is applied for each load or trip (or percentage of loads or trips) below the minimum value as specified in the Minimum Number of Loads/Trips field.
Maximum Number of Loads/Trips: The maximum number of loads or trips that can be assigned to this carrier or tariff/service during optimization and route, rate, and scheduling processes to avoid the maximum load/trip penalty. The penalty is applied for each load or trip in excess of the maximum number when Enforce Constraints As Percentage is not enabled; otherwise, the penalty is applied for each percentage point above the maximum value.
Maximum Load/Trip Penalty: The maximum penalty amount for each violation for loads or trips expressed in the base system currency. This penalty is applied for each load or trip (or percentage of loads or trips) above the maximum value as specified in the Maximum Number of Loads/Trips field.
Enforce Constraints As Percentage: Indicates whether the values in the Minimum Number of Loads/Trips and Maximum Number of Loads/Trips fields represent the percentages or absolute numbers. For example, if unselected, these values represent an actual count of equipment availability.
Apply FEU Factor: Indicates whether the FEU factor must be applied when calculating resource usage. If enabled, calculations for equipment availability versus minimum and maximum are based on the FEU Factor for the applicable trailer equipment type for the load. This is not applicable when equipment availability is used for trips.
Backup Resource: Indicates whether this equipment availability is considered as a backup resource to optimize loads and trips. If selected, the backup resource is used only when other feasible resources are not available for optimization. Only applicable when Enforce Constraints As Percentage is not enabled.
CEA Grouping: Mandatory. The drop-down list values refer to an entry in the user-definable CEA grouping domain table. When a value is defined, the percentage denominator will be all loads/trips which are eligible for CEA grouping that refers to the same CEA grouping, plus all loads/trips for which there is no equipment availability constraint for the load/trip but where a CEA grouping has been enabled for the applicable tariff service.
Resource Project ID: The CEA resources having same value as selected resource project ID from optimization request will be used to evaluate loads and trips during optimization. All loads and trips that are created or modified by optimization will be set to the Resource Project ID (RPID) associated with the optimization request. When creating an optimization request, the RPID associated with the Plan is assigned to the optimization request, by default. For loads assigned to a trip, the RPID on loads do not have to be the same across all loads and also does not have to be the same as for the trip. Trip level RPID will be honored when assigning CEA Resources to a trip. A load level RPID that is different from a trip level value would be used only if the load is subsequently removed from the trip. Similarly, a booking may contain loads having different RPID although the booking itself does not refer to a RPID.
