Validation is performed to verify the compatibility of the loads and trip. Many of these validations are also performed when creating a trip:
Selected loads must not already be attached to a trip or booking.
Division for all selected loads must be equal to the division for the trip.
Operational Status for the loads must not be Closed or Cancelled.
Operational Status for trip must not be Cancelled.
Financial Status for the loads and trip must be Ineligible or Voucher Pending.
Any hard-committed values for carrier, service, tractor domicile, tractor equipment type or commodity for all selected loads must be the same. Furthermore, hard-committed values for loads must also be same as any existing hard-committed attributes for the trip.
If carrier for one or more of the designated loads is hard committed, this carrier must allow trips.
Re-planning cannot be active for the selected loads or the trip.
Validation ensures the integrity of equipment types for consecutive loads on the trip. The trailer equipment types for consecutive loads on a trip can differ only if the affected locations permit drop and hook scenarios.
Selected loads cannot currently be engaged in the Carrier Sequential Tendering (CST) process.
Selected loads must not have primary schedule hard committed.
Selected loads must not use booking service.
Trip will not allow add any loads to be added if the trip contains loads that are attached to different plans. This condition can only occur for trips created prior to TM 8.0.
If the trip is attached to a plan, then all selected loads that are attached to a plan must be attached to the same plan as the trip.
All selected loads that are attached to a plan must be attached to the same plan.
Loads are allowed to be manually assigned to a trip even when the Eligible for Continuation flag for the load is False. Also, trips where the Eligible for Continuation flag is False will be eligible for manual extension. The Eligible for Continuation flags for the load and trip are used by the Optimizer to determine if loads and trips should be considered during trip creation / extension strategies.
If validation fails for any of the selected loads, none of the loads will be added to the existing trip.
