This page allows you to associate one or more equipment types to the selected driver. When no equipment type is defined on this page, the driver can take loads or trips that use any equipment type.
When the equipment types are defined with Restriction Type as Included, the driver can take loads or trips that use these equipment types only, by default. When the equipment types are defined with Restriction Type as Excluded, the driver cannot take loads or trips using these equipment types, by default.
Note: The equipment type defined can be tractor, trailer, or both. Each equipment type in this list only constrains its own equipment type category group, but does not impact equipment types of other categories. For example, when an equipment type of tractor category exists in the list, the restriction only applies to tractors, tractor and trailer equipment categories, but not trailer or undefined equipment categories.
Override Control allows you to categorize all driver equipment type restrictions as soft constraint or hard constraint. Authorized users can override a soft constraint during load or trip driver assignment. A hard constraint can never be overridden.
Note: The Restriction Type is strictly enforced when assigning drivers to skeleton routes (that is, Override Control setting is ignored).
