Skeleton Route view operations in Transportation Smartbench

This section lists skeleton route view operations in alphabetical order with a brief description.

You can access entity view operations in any of the following ways:

Select an operation from the operation toolbar
Right-click over the entity grid’s row selection check box
Note: This method requires the presence of at least one row in the entity grid.

Note: Administrator can configure operations for a role. Only the authorized operations are displayed in your operation toolbar.

The Transportation Smartbench (TSB) performs basic validations when an operation is initiated.

Front-end validations include the following:

To test whether an operation requires row selection or supports multi-row selection
To halt an operation when the user is not authorized to the plan(s) referenced in the selection

Front-end validation errors display in the form of a dialog box. If a validation message is displayed, the entire operation is halted and you must take appropriate corrective action before re-initiating the operation.

When configured, the TSB displays a confirmation dialog box allowing you to cancel the action before it is passed to the back-end API for execution.

Comprehensive validations are performed by back-end APIs servicing most TSB operations. The results of operations are summarized in a single message and displayed on the title bar of the Results View. As a result, some objects in the selection may succeed while others may fail. The message in the Results View summarizes the status of the whole operation. The outcome of the operation on individual objects in the selection can be viewed by clicking the message. This opens the TSB session log to show messages for each object-operation performed since the start of the TSB session.

Create Version	No	No	Allows you to create a skeleton route version based on the selected route. See Create a skeleton route version. This operation maintains the skeleton route ID for a different effective/expiration period.
Deactivate	Yes	Yes	Sets selected skeleton routes status to Inactive.
Delete	Yes	Yes	Deletes selected skeleton routes. Note: Skeleton routes cannot be deleted if referenced by a skeleton load.
Duplicate	No	No	Allows you to create a new skeleton route that has the same details of the selected skeleton route. See Duplicate a skeleton route.
Loads	Yes	No	Opens a Load view listing all loads that carry the skeleton route number of selected skeleton routes.
Map	Yes	No	Displays a Map view for the skeleton route similar to loads. Note: This operation will only be available if the map license is detected (and the operation is active/enabled).
New	Not applicable	No	Allows you to create a new skeleton route. See Create a skeleton route.
Notes	Yes	No	Displays the list of notes associated with the selected skeleton routes. See Notes in Transportation Smartbench.
Properties	No	No	Displays properties of the selected skeleton route.
Reset	Not applicable	No	Reverts all unsaved row-level changes to original values.
Skeleton Locations	Yes	No	Opens a Skeleton Locations view listing all skeleton locations associated with selected skeleton routes.
Stops	Yes	No	Displays the Stop view listing stops based on the Skeleton Route ID of selected skeleton routes.

Note: *Execute operations across pages allow you to execute an operation on all skeleton routes in a search result. In order to use this feature, you must have executed the Show Total Count operation and also not select any skeleton route in the search result.
